Scoring a Fairytale: How GoGo Chateau Grooves with APM

Picture this: moving to the French countryside into your very own chateau. Sounds like a fairytale, right? Welcome to the universe of GoGo Chateau, where Morgan Lawley takes the viewer under her creative spell. Delightfully along for the ride, Morgan’s page whisks us away on the adventure of renovating her very own “Chateau de la Chevronnais”, through the adjustments of living in a foreign country, and charms us with her style and humor. I chatted with Morgan, from LA to France, about how she documents this journey to the tune of APM Music.

For Morgan, music isn’t just background noise; it’s the heartbeat of her content. It evokes emotional responses, unites people, and properly scores her everyday stories. Whether it’s a cheeky kitschy track with sheep “baaing” or a folksy archival gem, her sound choices make her content feel alive. While talking about her music picks, she understands the importance of the right sound:
“I get comments all the time on every episode where people are saying, ‘Your music choices are spot on.’ I couldn’t do that without a vast catalog like this. I tried in the beginning, because there is a cost associated with having a subscription ... but it’s too important to me. Music is too important to me.”
The music supervision for GoGo Chateau is another example of the growing movement of creators who value a high quality, high variety music library like APM. Originally a dancer and music video director, Morgan has always valued having the right music for a mood or emotion, which she demonstrates in all of her content.
One such example is a clip that has gone viral with millions of views. It’s Morgan’s first time entering Chateau de la Chevronnais as its official owner—an incredibly emotional moment. She picked “Gather Your Dreams” from the Fadeaway library under APM Music to score this moment.
“[The clip] has gone and gone up to 7.4 million [views] on TikTok ... What I didn’t expect was how many people contacted me asking ‘what is this song, I want to use this, it’s so moving, I got chills, I started to cry.’ It really moved the emotional needle. There was the picture, which was good, obviously, but it was that last thing that pushed it over into the emotional realm, and it moved people.”
Morgan continues to document the highs and lows of renovating her chateau and has future plans to possibly make it a venue or a retreat space. We’re looking forward to continue working together and playing a part in creating beautiful moments!
